We are starting to prepare for one of the biggest dates in our diary, the Embassy Award Ceremony & Showcase, and we hope you are able to save the date in your diary and celebrate with us.
Over the last year, our youth members, staff and volunteers have continued to show the highest level of commitment and enthusiasm to the project and the Awards Ceremony & Showcase is the best way to reward and show appreciation for their dedication, talent and achievements.
The evening will be filled with music and dance from our various youth member groups, tasty treats from Embassy Cafe & Cathays Cooks and the now famous Joke Competition.
Official invites will be made available in due course and in the meantime you can keep up-to-date with our preparations and submit your best jokes to us via facebook, http://www.facebook.com/EmbassyAwardCeremonyShowcase2012
Please Like the page and you will receive our updates and be able to post on our wall
Please save this date and feel free to extend the invitation to your family and friends.

Thank You to Welsh Government Volunteer Team |

|
|

On Friday 9th November a small team of volunteers from Welsh Government came to help decorate the newly built reception. We were astounded by their efficiency and attention to detail, and after six hours of their devoted time and energy the walls of the reception and new office were painted to perfection. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Welsh Government Volunteer Team, your help is immeasurable.

Glass-House Workshop
As you may be aware we are at the beginning of a funding process to develop the whole centre and get the building that houses the old Embassy bingo hall back into community use.
Glass-House Community-Led Design and Alan Gillard of Gillard Associates helped us visualise how the centre could look during two thought-provoking workshops that saw us mastermind a small-scale model of the centre and its immediate surroundings.
Many thanks to Maja Luna Jorgensen, Louise Dredge & Melissa Lacide of Glass-House Community-Led Design and Alan Gillard for leading this inspiring set of workshops, the results will be invaluable to our future plans and community consultation.
About Glass-House Community Led DesignThe Glass-House is a national charity that supports and promotes public participation and leadership in the design of the built environment. We provide independent advice, training and hands-on support to community groups and organisations, local authorities, developers, design practices and other stakeholders, to help them work more effectively together to create better quality places and spaces.
