Youth Clubs Cardiff

We provide fun and friendly youth clubs in Cardiff for both youth members, young adults, and those with learning difficulties and disabilities. Timetable and details of each club are below:

All youth clubs charge £1.00 entry following which all facilities are free. Also they have youth member committees who provide representation on CCYCP management board and various youth forums in Cardiff.

Embassy Youth Club (Monday)

For young people aged 14 to 25,

Embassy Youth Club is proud to offer a relaxed, young person centred, open youth club. We get up to all sorts of different things from relaxing and talking with friends, to playing pool and other sports, arts and crafts and sometimes even trips out! We also have ongoing projects and fundraising that are responsive to the wants and needs of members. All for £1 a night

We are also proud to announce a merge with Studio 22, who work with any musicians, and those who’d like to learn, aged 11-25. Specialist music workers can help with all musical needs. Inclusive of your £1!

Theatr Teulu

Theatr Teulu is an inclusive drama group who meet during Embassy youth club 6-7.30pm. They welcome all abilities aged 11-25 and work towards putting on a production every July. Get involved for an extra £4 (£5 in total)

Out and Proud (Tuesday) 

We are a LGBT* youth group. We provide a friendly and safe environment which allows  you to become friends with like-minded young people. You can also develop life skills and grow in confidence to be your true self.

After School Club

Based at Trelai (Ely) After School Club is predominantly for young people with additional needs and/or ASD (autism spectrum disorder).

There are lots of fun activities to take part in, including arts and crafts, sports and games and includes a snack, in a closed access provision. All for £3!

Non disabled young people are also welcome to come along and will be provided with some training in order to offer support to their disabled peers.

Inclusive Youth Provision (IYP)

Provides a similar programme to the Embassy youth club but caters mainly for young people with learning disabilities and their peer group volunteers. The club meets on Friday evenings from 6.30pm. More details.

Teenscheme & Young Adults Provision (YAP)

Cathays IYP is a youth provision based at Cathays Community Centre and the members are predominantly young people with learning disabilities. Non-disabled young people attend the provision as youth member volunteers, with the role of supporting their disabled peers in planning and accessing the programme of activities on offer.

This programe is made up of a broad range of activities and projects, including art, drama, music, cooking and sport. In addition, trips to places of interest and leisure facilities take place on a daily basis during school holidays. The needs and wishes of members inform the programme and peer led projects are carried out with the guidance and support of qualified youth workers.

The provision takes place during half term school holidays, Easter holidays and for the first four weeks of the school summer holiday, Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 4.00pm. Members are aged 11 to 24 years old. The older ones take on some volunteering roles including project support and peer support.

Under Construction Youth Music Project Youth Club

We meet on Saturday afternoons 2.30pm to 4.30 pm and everyone has access to band practice rooms and Studio 2 recording studio and is the social base for the bigger music project, Under Construction. See www.underconstruction.org.uk.

Saturday afternoons are all about music—whether its performance, practicing, recording, producing or learning, for young people aged 11-20.

We offer:

* 3 music rehearsal spaces, which are fully equipped with drum kits, guitars and amps

* A jam space where anyone is able to play

* A well-equipped recording studio and production room

* Tuition in Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keys/Piano

* Regular gigs organised by young people, for anyone who is interested in event planning, this is a great place to start!

Event management

Young people are encouraged to get involved with fundraising gigs that are open to the public. The Under Construction Youth Music Project holds regular gigs and performance nights where young people are at the heart of organising, publicising and performing. (You might even be able to get qualified!) 

Agored Cymru

Our Agored project offers Entry level 3 Independent living—Looking after yourself and your home. This is primarily aimed for individuals aged 18-26, with additional learning needs and/or ASD who are seeking to move into their own accommodation, other applications will be considered.

The project takes place 10 till 4 including flexible break times, and break out activities, such as music and gardening. Group sizes are no more than 10, and individuals are supported by qualified youth and community workers and students.
